French Holiday Cottage with Carp fishing on site North Dordogne near Piegut Pluviers. This lovley comfortable holiday cottage offers versatile accommodation to suit a variety of needs. Our lake offers the angler a perfect haven, whilst the countryside offers a wealth of other recreational activities. | |  | The location, the house and lake are set in an area of outstanding natural beauty which enjoys complete tranquility. Set in grounds of about 5 acres is the 3 acre Lake which offers superb fishing.

Fishing Packages
We have a three acre lake for fishing, and the lake is stocked with Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach and Perch. We offer exclusive fishing for our guests and can facilitate up to 6 anglers, in dedicated swims. Anglers should only use barbless hooks and keepnets are not permitted. Fish mats are to be used to protect our fish.Tackle hire packages can be provided. A Carte de Peche (Fishing License) will be required, special 2- week holiday licenses are available in the locally (Cost 30 Euros).Guests are required to read the rules of the fishing contained in the information. This is to make your fishing more enjoyable and to protect our fish!
Bait Shop We stock a selection of Bait on site, including sweetcorn, hemp, Boilies, Tigernuts, Pellets, Pop-ups and Paste mix, or you can pre-order Bait Packs for 75 Euros, which would include; 5kg-Boillies 5kg- Pellet plus a pack of Pop-ups, Bait Dip and Paste.
Maggots, Pinkies, worms available at Local Tackle shop or can be pre ordered. | | | | | Activities (on site and in local area) | The Perigord Vert countryside is ideal for a wealth of outdoor activities, such as walking, cycling, fishing, shooting, golf and equestrian activities.
The Perigord is famous for its specialties of Foie Gras, confit de canard, truffles and walnuts for the gastronomic experience. These can be found in local markets when in season or sampled at nearby restaurants.Many of the local towns and villages have fascinating historic features, such as castles and churches, often dating back to early medieval times. The area as a whole was well traveled, not only by Crusaders, like Richard the Lion Heart, but also by those following the Pilgrimage routes to Spain.
The Dordogne valley with its castles, most of which date back to The Hundred Years War with England, is of great interest, as are the many caves in the area with the stalagtites and stalagmites and prehistoric paintings. | | | |
